Widely regarded as the best choice in aftermarket ink products, Rihac Platimum Photo inks are profiled to be as close to genuine OEM Canon inks as possible. Rihac is a multi award winning brand including a winner of both the Australian and World Brand Awards 2017 for product excellence.

One of the key drawcards of their inks is that they do not use generic 'universal' profiles in their inks. Other third party inks use generic profiles where the ink is a 'universal' colour match against several or more different cartridge series used by an individual manufacturer. When using a 'universal' profile you need to use a third party ICC profile to more accurately match the OEM colours with rihac inks you do not.

How many times can I put a new Pop Cart insert into the genuine cartridge?

In our testing we found that for rinters using 510/511, 512/513 and 640/641 cartridges you can replace the pop carts 8 to 12 times before you should need to replace the genuine cartridge shell. Printers using 645/646 cartridges do not have an internal printer head pump/cleaner. In these particular printers you can use the insert between 3-5 times before replacing the genuine cartridge shell. You can obvioucly replace the pPop Carts more times than this but the print quality may drop due to wear of the thermal heads.

Do I need to use brand a new genuine cartridge?

No you do not need a new genuine cartridge, however the cartridge needs to be in good working order. To check the usability of the cartridge you have, please perform a nozzle check pattern before installing the Pop Carts.

Can I refill the Pop Carts with my own ink?

No. The sponges in the Pop Carts will break down and cause permanent blockages to the OEM cartridge heads.

Where can I find more information?

The rihac YouTube channel contains several videos outlining the use, installation and setup for rihac Pop Carts.
