This SD2IEC device comes with everything (NO SD CARD INCLUDED) you needed to support/emulate Commodore 8-bit disk drive capabilities. The design is that only cassette port and the computer's serial connector is used, leaving your user port free for other device.
The item also includes:
1) Plastic footings for the SD2IEC board.
2) The cassette breakout board that:
- supplies the 5V to power the SD2IEC device.
- provides 3.3V output (with limited current from the Commodore computer. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DRAW MORE THAN WHAT THE COMPUTER'S SPEC SAYS.) This is helpful for doing prototyping and cassette port related projects.
- header pins for IO.This is helpful for doing prototyping and cassette port related projects.
One cosmetic labeling mistake on the SD2IEC device. Device id label "8" and "9" are switched, same for "10" and "11". No big deal. Device IDs are set via jumper setting.

NOTES:
- Make sure you understand/know the Commodore computer(s) electrical characteristics and their limitations. You MUST read/understanding relevant datasheets for your electronic components you work on or use.
- Make sure to wear protective gloves when inserting or taking out the cassette port adapter. Push in the two sides of the connector altogether when inserting the adapter; wiggle the adapter gently from side to side when removing it.
