Please also note that enterprise hard drives often require a stable 12V power supply with sufficient current. Many inexpensive USB docking stations, adapters, or cables may not provide enough power, which can cause the drive to spin up improperly, disconnect, or not be detected. If you experience issues, I recommend testing the drive with a quality powered docking station or by connecting it directly to a desktop SATA power supply.
