Applications
HVD SCSI drives were standard in enterprise servers, workstations, and telecom equipment through the late 1990s. Compatible with systems using HVD SCSI controllers such as Adaptec AHA-2944UW models. Requires a dedicated HVD SCSI controller or HVD-to-LVD converter; not compatible with Single-Ended (SE) or Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI systems. Typically found in legacy Sun, SGI, HP, and IBM server environments.

The drive is unused and in new condition. It is listed as Open Box because it was originally packed in bulk — multiple drives per box — rather than individual retail packaging. The drive shows no signs of use. Please note that this is a High Voltage Differential (HVD) SCSI drive and requires an HVD SCSI controller (such as the Adaptec AHA-2944UW) with an HVD terminator, or an HVD-to-LVD/SE converter, to operate — it will not work with standard single-ended or LVD SCSI controllers.
