DESCRIPTION
The Sharp PC-1500A is a 1982 vintage battery-powered pocket computer with a full QWERTY keyboard, built-in Extended BASIC, and graphics-capable LCD. This unit has been upgraded with a professionally installed CE-1500T turbo module and is fully tested working.

CE-1500T Turbo Module — Installed: This unit has a CE-1500T turbo module (by Soigeneris) installed internally. The module replaces the original 2.66MHz ceramic oscillator and provides a programmatically switchable turbo clock speed of 2.0MHz (versus the stock 1.33MHz delivered clock). Clock speed is toggled via BASIC POKE commands: POKE &FFFF,0 activates turbo mode; POKE &FFFE,0 returns to normal speed. Installation is invasive but reversible and has been completed on this unit. Turbo mode verified working. A reference sticker with the POKE commands is affixed to the bottom of the unit. PDF installation manual for the CE-1500T will be included as an attachment.The original ceramic oscillator removed during installation is included, allowing reversion to stock configuration by a competent technician.
Provenance: This unit carries US Air Force property engraving on the bottom. The engraving's specific meaning is unknown. It does not affect function.
