The Precious Metal Verifier Pro has been developed to greatly enhance the capabilities of the original PMV. It makes four separate measurements that ensure that the coin or bar contains valid metal. We now measure surface resistivity, and the resistivityall the way through the coinat the same time. No more worries about the depth of the buried metal. We measure the thickness of the metal, even for coins in plastic holders. Also, if the weight is entered, the density can be verified to be correct by measuring coin or bar dimensions directly on the instrument. In many cases we can do this even for coins in holders. With these additional checks, you will find greatly increased security using the Precious Metal Verifier Pro.

ThisUnit also includes aRefiners wand that detects metal under the surface 1.5 times deeper than the current Bullion wand. This is for use with bars larger than 1kg.

No Sigma will test slabbed coins less than 1/4 oz.

The external bridge is to measure through the full thickness of pieces greater than 12.5mm and less than 45mm thick, generally kilos and 100 oz bars.
