This is a complete Spectrum vintage style computer for ZX spectrum 48k and 128k computers (similar in operation to spectrum 128k +2 European computers), has a fully functional Mech keyboard, and only requires a the 2 amp 5 Volt USB charger to operate(Included). The external video output is VGA only(if used)and comes with the VGA cable, and though it works great with an LG 49" LCD TV/monitor and a Spectre 40" TV/monitor, it may or may not work with some VGA to HDMI video adapters. So, you must have a VGA input TV/Monitor such as mentioned above for the external video. As you can see in the included pictures, the built in TFT display and the external VGA output on a monitor/TV are both shown. Sound is played through a small (unplugable) audio amp and speaker as shown in the pictures. It can be played with the built in 3" TFT full color LCD monitor, or the output can be switched to a larger TV/Monitor as mentioned above, by pressing and holding the "FIRE" button, while pressing and releasing the "RESET" button, and soon as the 3" LCD screen comes back dimmed, then releasing the "FIRE" button. The picture is clear, well defined with excellent color. The computer comes with many many hundreds of game programs in .TAP format(which refers to cassette tape programs),of both 48K and 128K, and comes with information sheets with explanation on how to LOAD these .TAP files, and the location of the main KEY buttons, and has a LINK to information on operation and software on the GITHUB website, where files can be downloaded to upgrade the firmware on the Pico Micro Controller, or completely program a new Pico to be installed onto the main PCB. In many ways, it is superior to the ZX Spectrum line of 48k, 128K, +2 and +3 vintage computers, is fairly easy to use, and draws little power(as it doesn`t require the large "brick" BOAT ANCHOR power supply which uses European 220 volts 50Hz, and has the mass storage of programs on a Micro SD card, and USB thumb drive as backup for the SD card. The USB adapter is only needed to re-program or hold the micro SD card, and the USB thumb Drive can be used to save these programs to a file on your PC, and make new Micro SD cards with your favorite games, for use in the Fruitbat, or if you have a TZX Duino, you can load these programs to any Spectrum 128K, +2/+2A, or +3 computer. Naturally, the FRUITBAT takes up far less space and only needs 2 cable connections, the 5vDC 2 amp adapter, and the VGA cable(both included), if needed--while the original ZX spectrum 128K/+2/+2A/ and +3 requires a bulky power supply, a special SCART cable, a Scart to HDMI converter, and a HDMI cable. Also, with its built in Color TFT LCD, this Pico emulated 128K computer, can be held and used similar to using an old "gameboy" or modern "Nintendo Switch" game player computer.Also included is the plugable audio amp and speaker, as seen in the pictures.
