Enhanced Bandwidth with Boost Mode

Thunderbolt 5 delivers offerirectional bandwidth of 80 Gbps, evenly distributed across its data lanes for consistent high-speed performance in both directions. When higher display bandwidth is required, the cable's Boost Mode reallocates the data lanes, enabling 120 Gbps of bandwidth in one direction (transmit) while maintaining 40 Gbps in the other (receive). This asymmetric configuration is ideal for display-intensive tasks, such as driving multiple 8K monitors or handling high-resolution video workflows, while still supporting robust data transfer capabilities.
