This is a replica of the Supermicro CBL-084L (CBL084L) cable that allows you to adapt a Supermicro server chassis to be used with a non-Supermicro motherboard. Many Supermicro server chassis have a front control panel (power button, reset button, power LED, HDD activity LED, network activity LED, etc.) with a single 16-pin cable connector. This connector will not fit non-Supermicro motherboards. Using this replica CBL-084L cable adapter, you can convert that 16-pin connector to 8 pairs of individual 2-pin connectors that can be used with other brands of motherboards.
I used to sell the original Supermicro CBL-084L cables, but it seems Supermicro is focused on the AI market and no longer interested in supplying these to me.
