What You Get ► TP-Link Omada EAP670 — an AX5400 WiFi 6 ceiling-mount access point, the business line rather than the consumer Archer range. ► 4x4 MU-MIMO on 5GHz is what separates this from the cheaper EAP650: four spatial streams up to 4804 Mbps, plus 574 Mbps on 2.4GHz, with 160MHz channel width (HE160) support. ► The uplink is a 2.5 Gigabit port, and that is the point. An AP this fast behind a gigabit port throttles itself; the multi-gig port means the radio is the limit, not the cable. Backwards compatible at 10/100/1000 if your switch is gigabit. ► Power requirement — read before buying. This unit is powered by 802.3at PoE+ from a PoE+ switch or injector, or by a 12V/2A DC supply. It does not run off a USB or standard wall plug. Make sure you have PoE+ available, or message me and I will confirm what ships with this one. ► Managed through Omada SDN — run it standalone from the Omada app, or adopt it into a hardware controller (OC200/OC300), the free software controller, or Omada Cloud. That is the real draw: seamless roaming, band steering, VLANs and mesh across multiple APs from one pane of glass. ► Handles 250+ concurrent clients across 16 SSIDs, eight per band. Ceiling, wall, junction box and T-bar mounting kits are part of the standard package. ► 22.3W operating and 6.6W at idle over PoE, in a 1.3-inch-thick 8.7-inch square housing designed to disappear into a ceiling tile.
