In 1983 with the release of ZX Interface 2 peripheral, Sinclair Research Ltd decided to publish some of it's (and third party) games on ROM cartridge to take advantage of instant loading. They ended up releasing exactly 10 titles before abandoning this idea. Reason being they cost three times more than games on tape and were severely limited by 16KB of memory maximum. By the end of 1983 most of the Speccy games were already using 48K of memory. The ROM carts sold poorly as a result and not many were sold in the first place.
In December 1983 they released the last wave of 6 games, 2 of their own (with Hungry Horace) and 4 of the first Ultimate Play The Game games, last game being TRANZ AM.
This is the game you get here. It is in fantastic excellent condition - see photos. The ROM looks to be mint, edge connector shows no signs of corrosion. The only flaw here is that the manual is missing.Unfortunately I can't test it as I don't own ZX Interface 2. However there is no reason why it should not work - these ROM boards were pretty robust, if stored correctly. Having said that it is now sold as is with no guarantee implied.
