This laptop right now in its current condition does not work at all, and it needs some repairs/parts replaced in order to be fully functional again, or this laptop is a good candidate for being parted out.

This laptop does NOT boot into the OS installed at all. I don’t know why. It boots to a recovery screen, and selecting any option to boot to immediately turns off the laptop. I tried seeing if maybe it can run windows 7, and I tried booting it from USB, and did the same exact thing. Don’t know if it’s a hardware OR software issue, but that’s the major issue. The other major issue is that the screen is no longer good. There’s some staining and dead pixels, the screen’s days is done, so needs to be entirely replaced. The minor issue with this laptop is the battery doesn’t charge, don’t know why or how, but doesn’t charge.

Regarding the physical condition of this unit, this unit has seen better days. This unit is rough, has some various scuffing and scraping, but the most noticeable damage is on the vents that are on the backside of the laptop. There’s some broken pieces, which exposes the heatsink. The hinges is also worn or possibly broken, but it still holds up the screen, it’s just opening the laptop screen every now and again, you can hear some plastic separating or whatever, so maybe a clip is broken. Other than these physical imperfections, the laptop is actual in one singular piece.

Just want to reiterate that this laptop needs repairs in order to be fully working again. I would say it’s worth fixing this laptop if a: you already have the parts lying around and b: you can use this laptop and utilize the hardware for whatever this laptop can be used for. This laptop is also a good candidate to get parted out. I assume a majority of the parts like the board, screen, bezels, etc, can be reused and put into a new system. Either way, this is a project laptop.
