VINTAGE Borland Turbo C 1.0 Integrated Development Environment VERY RARE
Borland Turbo C 1.0 is a legendary and revolutionary Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and compiler released by Borland Software Corporation in May 1987. Arguably the first of its kind. It revolutionized PC programming by bringing an affordable, lightning-fast C compiler with a built-in text editor to MS-DOS systems.* Pre-ANSI C Standard: Released two years before the C89/ANSI C standardization. It follows the older K&R (Kernighan & Ritchie) C syntax style.
* The Interface: Unlike the famous "blue screen" text interfaces of later versions (like Turbo C 2.0 or Turbo C++ 3.0), version 1.0 featured a distinctive black interface with top-menu navigation
* The "Turbo" Speed: It compiled code entirely in memory, making it vastly faster than contemporary multi-pass compilers of the era.
* Origins: It was born from Borland's acquisition of a compiler from Wizard Systems, which was integrated with Borland’s own in-house development.System Requirements (1987)

The four 5.25" write-protected floppy diskettes are in very good physical condition, safely stored inside of protective case for many years. Labels are clean, clear and intact.
