Apple II Computer Slim-Fit Carry Case

A rare and historically significant early Apple II “Professional” slim-fit carry case manufactured by Toppers of Santa Ana, California during the formative Apple II era (one of these is on exhibit in the Apple CHM catalog).
Unlike later black Apple-branded carrying cases, this early example features a brown vinyl finishmanufactured by Toppers of Santa Ana, California, original cassette-era interior pouch, original Coats & Clark (C&C) zipper hardware, and an embossed early inverted “no-bite” Apple logo.
There seems to be a rather common misunderstanding about whether the early Brown Carry Cases (1977-78) provided by Apple and/or its dealers were vinyl or leather (RedBook ordering lists vinyl). The "Apple II Reference Manual, January 1978" (The Apple II Redbook) on the page immediately after the Table of Contents reads as follows: Item 4. "In addition other items such as a vinyl carrying caseor hobby board peripherial may have been included ifspecifically ordered as "extras"." See gallery photos.
The case was preserved with an early Apple II A2S1 system and remains in unusually well-preserved vintage condition. One of the most unusual characteristics of this example is the embossed early “no-bite” Apple logo appearing in an inverted/upside-down orientation (leaf downward), a uncommon production anomaly from the earliest Apple II accessory era.
