Eudora Pro Email 4.2 — Vintage Sealed Retail Box (CompUSA, 1999)

Offered here is a vintage piece of dot-com era computing history: an unopened retail box of Eudora Pro Email, Version 4.2, by Qualcomm, for Windows 95/98/NT and Macintosh. This box still carries its original CompUSA price tag ($49.99).

Eudora Pro was one of the most popular email clients of the late 1990s, once called "fast becoming the Internet email standard" by PC Magazine, and won over 70 industry awards and honors during its run.

The box includes the CD-ROM software and Quick Start Guide (1-user pack, Part Number 10-47876-4), and remains shrink-wrapped from the factory — with the exception of a small (approx. 3") square cut from the front shrink wrap, likely where a promotional coupon or rebate offer was once removed at retail. The software itself has never been opened or used.

Condition: New/sealed retail box with the noted small 2.5" cut-out in the shrink wrap on the front panel (see photos). Box shows light shelf wear consistent with age — corner wear and a small scratch are visible. This is sold as a collectible piece of computing/internet history, not represented as functional modern software — a fun display piece or addition to a vintage tech/software collection.
