This is the historic "Fat Mac" variant introduced in late 1984.This unit is being sold strictlyAS-IS for parts, repair, or a restoration project.It features a completely intact case with the original rainbow Apple logo, built-in 9" CRT screen screen assembly, and internal 400K floppy disk drive.CRITICAL CONDITION NOTES (Please Read):

• Functional Status:NON-WORKING / FAULTY.When last powered on, this unit made an audible "pop" sound and immediately began releasing smoke from the rear vents. It was immediately unplugged and has not been turned on since.
• The Cause:This is the classic, textbook failure of the vintageRIFA suppression capacitorson the internal power/analog board. The capacitors have exploded due to age. The machine will require a full capacitor replacement ("re-cap") and internal cleaning before it can ever be safely plugged into a wall outlet again.Do not attempt to power this machine on upon arrival.
• Additionally: There is a floppy disk stuck in the drive. This will need to be expertly removed. It likely requires a cleaning.
• Cosmetics:The plastic housing exhibits standard, uniform age-related yellowing and vintage patina. There are some minor surface scuffs/marks on the front bezel (see photos). The chassis is physically solid with no major cracks or structural damage.
