For sale is a rare IBM RS/6000 POWER2+ MCM processor module, a collectible ceramic multi-chip module from IBM’s 1990s RS/6000 workstation/server era.

The POWER2 family was IBM’s high-performance RISC architecture used in RS/6000 UNIX workstations and servers. The POWER2+ version was an improved POWER2-family design with support for external L2 cache, making this a very interesting piece for vintage computing collectors, CPU collectors, IBM/AIX enthusiasts, or display/restoration projects.

This is a large ceramic multi-chip module, not a modern single-chip CPU. These IBM MCM packages are increasingly hard to find, especially loose and displayable.
