Lotus SmartSuite4.0 IBM/Lotus SmartSuite is an office suite from Lotus software for Windows and OS/2. SmartSuite includes SmartCenter,1-2-3, Word Pro,Freelance Graphics,Approach,Organizer, and ScreenCam. SmartSuite was primarily targeted at corporate use. Its primary advantages were cross platform compatiblity withIBM OS/2, multithreaded 32-bit processing power under OS/2 prior to Windows 95, integration withNotes, and compatiblity withLotus 1-2-3. It competed heavily againstMicrosoft Office. In 1995, Microsoft "punished" IBM for selling SmartSuite by withholding OEMWindows 95licenses from them until the last second.
