This sale is for a vintage NEC Ready 230T laptop. This laptop has been tested to power on and boot into Windows 98 Second Edition. Per our security policy, all personal data and documents have been purged. The battery no longer holds a charge but a compatible AC adapter is included.
Cosmetic wise: The laptop is in good condition but there are cracks in the plastic in certain areas. There are two cracks above the AC port and one crack by the USB port. The left hinge cover has broken off and will fall off if the laptop is turned on its side. There are marks from everyday use on it. The palm-rest and keyboard show signs of wear. The lid flexes slightly when the screen is lifted.
Performance wise: The laptop functions fine for its age. Any games or programs that have higher system requirements may run slower on this system. Performance drops are to be expected with older hardware and software.
NOTE: The internal CMOS battery is dead and needs to be replaced. Certain BIOS settings such as the date/time, HDD configuration and other settings will be lost if the laptop is disconnected from power.
