This is a vintage Quantum Bigfoot 1.28GB, 5.25-inch internal hard disk drive, made in Japan.

It uses an IDE/PATA interface, typical for desktop computers from the mid-1990s. The model requires specific M3 mounting screws to be secured in a case.

The jumper block controls the drive configuration on an IDE/ATA ribbon cable.

CS (Cable Select): The drive position on the cable automatically determines Master or Slave status.

DS (Drive Select / Master): Configures this drive as the primary ("Master") boot device. This is the default factory setting when no jumper is applied.

SP (Slave Present): Configures this drive as the secondary ("Slave") storage device when sharing a cable with another drive.

Power Requirements: 5V / 12V (400/450 mA).
