This one got dropped onto a tile floor from about waist height. It's not working but everything appears intact (the plastic shell, etc.)
I'm hoping you can fix it so we can keep it out of the landfill !
The only visible damage was that the two halves of the clamshell plastic body were slightly separated at the button end. The button movement (for both) seems fine and for a time, the infared light was working fine. I tried to put the two halves of the clamshell housing back together - it's not a press fit, more of a press fit that requires a bit of bending to get the clips lined up. I gently worked at it a bit and then the light stopped working. This is a very new replacement for the one I gave my daughter so the battery life should be excellent - perhaps you can make use of that as parts.
