Due to identical dimensions between the 7th, 8th, and 9th generation tablets, this device will work for all 3 generations and has been personally tested on both the 7th and 9th generation models. As this product is constructed of anodized aluminum, there will be some paint loss on sharp corners and some units will have minor scratches or dings that does not affect its functionality.
