sony vaio EA series laptop 2010/2011 beautiful pearlescent white plastic not boring color, lightweight vintage mint condition. this thing is Light Weight for sure tho thicker than modern laptops. Used lightly for a 2 or 3 client projects back in the day. Never dropped, stored in climate controlled environment. I got rid of the battery since this unit was in storage for a long time and the batt would not charge. No sense leaving dead lithium cells around. Originally had Win7 on it, I put Linux Mint on it because of insecure Win7. Keyboard is amazing to type on. Trackpad better than most from that era, it is integrated into the plastic case, there is no separate trackpad area it is just indented. Very gently used. CD/DVD drive works, used a few times I think mainly to load linux. 640GB spinny hard drive, Only 4GB ram but I suspect it is upgradable. You should check though. Never opened up the back panel. This is a dual core Intel i3 CPU w/ integrated graphics. i dont know exactly which core i3, i just selected one out of the list. check the newegg specs below. Would keep it to mess around with linux on, but need to raise some coin due to the software developer apocalypse. Screen isn't "retina" quality and not super bright (that is how it was originally) but decent for the era. Similar to other units of this era, there is a switch in front of the unit down to the left of the trackpad that lets you shut off wifi hardware. For security or perhaps battery saving? So the wifi does work but if that switch is off, it looks broken. Confused the heck out of me back in the day. In fact I am typing this on the unit right now! Power supply included. A real steal if you collect vintage Sony Vaios. Man, Sony Vaios, how could they stop? So cool! note that the top cover is smooth clear with a cool randomized pixel pattern underneath the smooth clear plastic, not the textured cover like on some of these VAIOs. great for typing/writing, light web research and libre office spreadsheets and of course VAIO collectible.
