The file you'd be looking for is: /styles/admin.css
Just a headsup though, there will be an updated admin.css for UBB.threads 7.6.1

What would be great is if the Dashboard could follow the Forum Default Style colors

The dashboard items are different than the forum items.
You are free to make customizations to your own dashboard presentation by css, but know that as more features get added or updated within the dashboard, you will need to carry your customizations over as well.
In addition, if anything goes wrong with your default style, you are now left with a broken Dashboard, unable to fix the issue. Its probably best to keep the customized User Forum styles and the Dashboard styles separate from each other.

The Control Panel has it's own UI (it's the only part of the package that isn't easily customization) so that if something happens in the development of your style you can easily navigate back to the style editor and manage things; if something happened in the development of your style and the admin area used it, you'd have a heck of a time navigating around in an attempt to fix any problems.
The admin UI's style is also used for the installer/upgrade utility, so if something happened to break your style you'd be unable to properly see elements in the Install/Upgrade utility as well as the Admin UI.
