We had an officer that brought over a new Camaro and one of the tank drivers accidentally drove right over it. eek

He was not a happy camper as it was a brand new car.

LOL - Well maybe it was. I was training this new guy to drive an armored personnel carrier and he was doing okay, then he get up near the HQ tent going through the woods... not paying attention he smacks his head right into a low hanging branch and knocks himself out. APC runs into a couple of big trees and just sits there.

Do they have "Learner Plates" just so every one knows either to move there cars or not to hide behind a tree lol

Actually if it's a big enough tree it will stop the APC (we used that tactic to evade some other armored vehicles in the mountains before) Won't much stop a 62 ton tank. grin

What was amazing about them was that on a live fire course with chock blocks under the back of treads and the treads locked. When it fired it rocked up on top of those chock blocks. VERY loud when fired too. But very cool laugh
