Isn't it the string length that is too long?
UBB breaks up strings automatically when they reach a default of 180 chars (I believe). Increase that value in your control panel slightly if you get a lot of these images.
Perhaps a suggestion would be to have a new control panel setting for string length in tags that is seperate from normal text so we can get all the benefits of this feature.
