I don't believe it's a bug. You probably accidentally replaced the vars_graemlins.cgi file.
The vars files contain all your board's settings so you should always take extreme care when dealing with them. When upgrading ONLY replace vars files you are missing or are specifically instructed to replace. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
