Your classic install has the same var files in Variables and CGI directories. The ones in Variables are older. In the order that we install, we are overwriting newer files with older. Plus it sets up a conflict because the instructions for CGI files is 755, but the Variables are 777. Not sure which setting to give the overlapping vars_ files.
