For over two years I did not have any problems with UBB. Somewhere along the line something must have been upgraded or corrupted. Before they moved me I even installed a test board using ver 5.47 then ver6.1 then ver 6.3. Still no smtp connection using the original smtp server and the new one. I also tried the ubb6_test.cgi script to see if permissions changed giving a hint that something was different.
It has been a few days now and everything has been working fine as far as I can tell.
By the way I did have a open support ticket at the time of the problem but I closed it when the problem went away. So it you wanted to take a peek the login has changed now.
I would just wish there was some utility to diagnose this type of problem that could enhance something like the ubb6_test.cgi script.
