Yup, I have an IRC addon at ubbdev (IRC being one of the oldest chat mediums online, as well as has millions of public servers that you can utilize), the default irc server on my irc script is the one that I run (irc.undergroundnews.com) and you can find millions of IRC servers at SearchIRC.com.

I believe theres another chat mod at ubbdev using another service, but I've never used it so i can't comment on how it works, however I don't think it is free unlike my addon...
