Something I have read is that even if you have a 64bit processor you are better running the 32bit version.
Yes for now typically true as there are not sufficient optimized 64Bit drivers yet. Though hopefully as with each version of Windows since NT 3.1 it doesn't take too long before those drivers become available. Though Vista 32Bit drivers will still be available sooner than 64Bit
