What was suggested by one of my members, and I kind of like the idea, is to have an option so that, if a member can post a signature in a thread, it can only appear once in that thread. So, if they make an initial reply, their sig will appear in that first reply, but not in subsequent replies. Whether to allow sigs in all posts/replies or just the first post could be selectible (or no sigs at all as well). Have options in the control panel like so:
o Allow sigs in all posts
o Allow sigs in first posts only
o Do not allow sigs in posts
Just like with ratings, once you rate a thread, the sig option "Allow sigs in first posts only) could work the same way. Once a member has placed a sig in a thread, the option to place a sig simply would disappear for subsequent replies.
