We have forums where lists of people that sign up for certain stuff is maintained.
That's a very good reason - in the 'right' sort of forum
Driv, the other people often "tease" him about it, which is just very thinly veiled irritation. One day somebody is going to get real pissed about it though. I have been on a number of occasions.
To be honest though, he is the only one who abuses the edit/delete thing. I don't see changing the rules for everyone else, just because of him.

Personally, if I thought I could get away with it easily enough with my users, I'd set both to zero.
