I understand how users send content, however, content from an email address to threads would be done in one of two ways:
1. Threads reads from POPMail to retrieve content.
2. Threads reads from a tunnel which is set as an alias with your email server.
#2 is best as it'd update content as it's recieved; #1 would go through a timer.
These would be the only ways of getting emailed messages from users into threads... I'm not "making this too difficult", it's how I've worked with similar projects...
