It might have been useful to mention I'm on 7.2.2, LOL.

It's not so much that I'm a clean UI freak (though I am), but because if the buttons aren't there it's SO much harder for people to quote after quote after quote, where you end up with 7 nested quotes -- or more! When you're on limited bandwidth smaller pages are good.
