I made this suggestion in the wrong forum once and got jumped on for it. Now that the trauma has faded, I'll try once more:
On a forum such as mine where there are a large number of forums dealing with diverse subjects, some members tend to visit only a subset of forums. This means that their "Unread Posts" can end up numbering in the hundreds or even thousands in the forums they never visit on my site.
Many of my members enjoy the feature where the number of unread posts and unread threads are shown on the Forum List page. I had to turn this feature off because of the number of members who either couldn't understand how to mark all posts read, or forgot, or just didn't care to.
I would love to be able to offer this feature again because it's popular. I suppose I would like some sort of command in the Control Panel that would trigger an SQL query that would perform "Mark All Posts Read" on every user account that had over X posts unread.
Is that a possibility for some future update?
