Disabled the quickreply box while there's just 1 participant:
Open templates/default/viewmessage.tpl

Find:
Quote

Paste above that line:

{if $quickreply}

Find: (Somewhere around line 94)
Quote
{if $mystuff}

Paste above that line:
Quote
{/if}
