I am going to use groups. How do I set it up that when a new person registers he has to choose a specific group to join? Now the registrant goes to "users" and I want to eliminate that group
Giz is correct but the user does not choose the group they want.
You do as admin.
Otherwise if you have groups with access to private forums or features they could just chose what group they want to belong to.
