I built my i7 end of last year with a smaller fan and I've had no overheat issues. Even latest greatest drivers from AMD on their video capture do not support TV on Windows 7 yet.
The i7 is one monster CPU though. Eats anything I have it do and and never really taxes the CPU, spikes briefly but that's about it. Best multitasking system I've ever had.
