That will do it.
I assume you had it forwarding to your personal email account. So the ecnet account was never cleaned out and went over quota.
You're right, there was more than one email address involved and one forwarded to the other.
Now that I look at the situation it might also explain not getting notifications from here .... this post should test that out ...
