You're right, there was more than one email address involved and one forwarded to the other.
Now that I look at the situation it might also explain not getting notifications from here .... this post should test that out ...

Doesn't appear so. After 1-1/2 Hrs no watched topic email. But I did get an immediate response to 'email post' and a 'password request'.
