my dad has had a blu-ray player for a year, he has NEVER watched a blu-ray disk, even though he has it connected to a 44" samsung 1080p LCD. my mom and I both got him blu-ray movies for christmas, we decide the first one to watch will be "UP".
his player won't play it.. lol..

luckily a firmware update later, it was good to go, and proceeded to play every blu-ray disk I had on hand to test it with.

my mom asked how often they should plug it into the net to update it, I told her the next time you can't play a movie!
