I realize there are probably bad things that can happen from doing this but... I am trying to place a RSS ticker in a post to have it show in my portal. I want it in the main portal area and NOT in a side column.
The ticker is actually a javascript that gets an RSS feed and displays it in a defined box in an HTML or PHP page - it is in it's own directory and works fine. I inserted an IFRAME into a custom island and called the page with the script and it displays in the forum I set it to display - works as hoped but the custom island does not display on my portal. Not sure if that can happen. I was hoping the custom island would also show in the portal along with all of the posts from the forum it pulls posts from. Next option is to try to place the IFRAME tag into a post - that does not work and I do have HTML enabled for this forum.
Am I trying to do something that will never work?
Suggestions on how to make this happen or should I abandon the project? It is not overly important but it would be cool!
