ok, I want to pick up a good guide/reference book (or two) to help me better understand all this so I can edit files with a bit more confidence and maybe create some of my own
php I understand enough to make minor edits, but would like to be able to create small scripts, and even re-write some of these 10 year old cgi scripts I like so much. (guardian script from xav.com)
css I have just started playing around with, and I wish I had sooner. I was always of the theory, it works, leave it alone, but with css things work better, simpler.. lol
I like something that covers the theory, but also has a structured guide, listing commands, syntaxes, examples, etc.
suggestions?
