I noticed a few PMs today and wondered why I didn't get an e-mail. In my prefs I had not enabled it so changed it to send e-mails. I now know why - because it sends the complete PM. I would prefer the option to receive a simple notification.
I would much rather read the PM in context on the forum than in an e-mail. Also, if you read it in an e-mail you might not need to visit the forum. A basic "Member123 has sent you a PM" and a link to your messages seems a better option.
