Go to My Stuff > Edit Prefs > tick Yes to 'By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?' > scroll to bottom and click Submit.

Then you can add any topic you'd like to your list by clicking on Topic Options (located above an opened topic). You can also choose to 'watch' forums.
