This has been a long standing issue.
There have been some small steps implemented on the 7.x series updates with limited success. Due to it impacts some but not all users with similar setups.
SD was working on this in the 7.6 update.
So hopefully that update will become a reality.

Some have had success with using compatibility mode in IE.
