Just think of it as you are enabling users to upload files.
So you limit them to how many files and how big they are to upload.
Then by what file types they can upload.
Then you have a option to say if the file is smaller that x bytes show the file instead of a link.
Then the last part is if the image is say stretched out because it is so big causing scrolling on the page you can limit how big the display is.
Then also permissions limit how many bytes are allowed to upload.
Once it it done them there are less settings to change to tweak it.
