and as for the OP:
the social links via shareaholic can be setup to include as many or as few services as you want. you can also specify what button look/feel you want as well.
for ubbcentral, i chose flat, horizontal, centered, with counts on the right. i also chose to disable the original Twitter and FB buttons. yes, you
CAN choose to have all of them, but i think it's overkill and even redundant.
also, you will notice that sharing links in general don't appear in every thread now.
this was a bug that has been fixed, where you could theoretically tweet your admin forum ( read: any hidden forum ) or FB like it.
now, the criteria for sharing button(s) to appear is that the forum and thread have to be guest ( read not logged in ) readable.
