I'm glad that you got it all situated; wish that it would have been a better resolution though.
eNom is just a reseller, their chief competition back in the day was Tucows, but one of the two bought out the other at one point. Their bread and butter is pretty much letting companies offer their own registry services with them as the back end (even offering an API to keep everything on ones own servers).
